This large-scale project comprising 152 homes is located at the entrance to the village of Uvrier, close to the capital of Valais, on a vast 18,500 m² plot.

The neighbourhood plan is based on a coherent layout of ten buildings, arranged according to a clear hierarchy between housing, shops and public spaces.

Eight buildings house 112 apartments of various types, ranging from studios to 4.5-room apartments.
Two of them, which are more commercial in nature, are oriented north-south along the main road, ensuring good visibility and marking a smooth transition between the public space of the road and the more residential heart of the project.
Two other buildings are specifically dedicated to 32 sheltered apartments, with treatment rooms, physical activity rooms and communal dining areas.

All the buildings are connected by a large underground car park with 194 spaces, freeing up the outdoor areas for pedestrian walkways, green spaces and playgrounds.
These facilities encourage social interaction and enhance the neighbourhood’s convivial atmosphere.

The architecture of the buildings is distinguished by a strong identity. Concrete balconies, treated as external walkways, punctuate the façades.
They form a protective envelope while creating generously sheltered outdoor spaces that are comfortable and usable in all seasons.

The majority of the dwellings are dual-aspect, with living spaces facing west to take advantage of the warmer evening light, while the bedrooms face east to enjoy the soft morning light.
Only a few studios, facing east, are adapted to specific constraints in order to respond to a varied overall typology.

This project aims to offer a balanced response to current urban and residential challenges by providing a well-designed, functional living environment that is in harmony with its surroundings.
